Big Pine CA is located near Mammoth, Yosemite, and Kings Canyon. It is beautiful High Sierra country.
We hiked the Big Pine Lakes Trail, which starts at 7,800 feet and set up our base camp at Lake #4, at 10,800 feet.
There was snow and ice along the trail, and the night temperatures dropped into the teens (F).
